Sadly, the youth of today will never know the real essence of road trips during the days gone bye when the kids were relegated to sitting in the rear-facing bench seat of a station wagon that weigh slightly more than Jupiter. Ahhh, to see America while watching the countryside pass by backwards... always seeing where we've been - not where we're going!
Now THAT is a road trip.

Oh you can still get lost with the trusty GPS, especially when it thinks the road is 100 miles north of you, but that's what I get for driving through New Brunswick :)

Road trips are great, I take them all the time. Normally between Nova Scotia and New York these days. Rest stops become something familiar and something you look forward to while driving the endless road where you hoped you filled up with gas at the right time and aren't stuck on the 300 mile stretch of road without a station at all or open at 3am :)
